Host of the DARIAH-EU Anual Event

I am delighted that my team will be organizing the DARIAH-EU Anaual Event here in Göttingen this year. I look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible!

I’m thrilled to share some exciting news: This year, my team and I have the great honor of organizing the DARIAH-EU Annual Event 2025 — and it will take place right here in Göttingen!

The DARIAH-EU Annual Event is a highlight for the digital humanities community in Europe and beyond. It brings together researchers, developers, and cultural heritage professionals for several days of exchange, collaboration, and inspiration. The theme this year is “The Past: From Memory to Data” — a rich and timely topic that invites us to reflect on how we engage with historical knowledge in an increasingly datafied world.

Göttingen, with its strong traditions in both the humanities and data-driven research, is a perfect setting for this conversation. We’re working hard behind the scenes to make the event as welcoming, insightful, and enjoyable as possible. I truly look forward to greeting many of you here — whether you’ve been part of the DARIAH community for years or are joining us for the first time.
