I have enjoyed travelling for many years and have visited beautiful places. I had the opportunity to see the beauty of nature, unfortunately also with the negative aspect that this is probably a fleeting joy. But I was also interested in seeing cities, getting to know cultures, and meeting people who are very different from what I know here in my surroundings. I looked especially for lost places. This are places that have been shaped by our past, but have now been reclaimed by nature. These places have been forgotten. However, they still exist. They are a testimony to human life and past ideas, cultures and stories. Travelling to such places not only provides an insight into a foreign world, but also makes you question what traces you yourself have left behind in this world. Objects that were once important to people, evidence of past social relationships between people, places of production - all these are now artefacts for us to discover.
